Gjensidige  is looking for an addition to their team of cloud data engineers. We are data-driven in everything we do to create the market's best customer experiences. In recent years, we have seen the power that lies at the intersection between data & analysis, cloud technology and modern software development based on DevOps. We strengthen analysts by facilitating self-service data analysis in the cloud, helping to cultivate interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration, and promoting software best-practice.

As a data engineer, you will be facing many exciting technical challenges and together with the team develop Gjensidige’s cloud data platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of efficient and scalable data and ML solutions in Azure Databricks using Python and dbt;
  • Close collaboration with the analysis teams from different business areas;
  • Competence building within DevOps methodology in the analysis teams;
  • Contribute keeping the team and the company up to date on the best in technology and practices;
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of data and ML solutions in production;
  • Continuous improvement and optimization of infrastructure and performance;
  • Compliance, data security and privacy regulations.

About you:

  • 2+ years experience as a data engineer/data scientist or similar position;
  • Good command in both spoken and written English;
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure data engineering tools (databricks, data build tool etc.);
  • Knowledge and experience with at least one programming language (Python is a plus);
  • Experience with DevOps best practices and relevant technology such as git;
  • Very good ability to solve problems and collaborate in an interdisciplinary and international team;
  • Good communication skills.

The salary range offered for this position is from 2399 EUR to 3598 EUR before taxes. The final salary for this position depends on the selected candidate‘s skills and competence. According to Gjensidige’s remuneration policy, salary is only a part of the remuneration package. Employees are provided with benefits, such as a week of additional winter vacation, health and life insurance, additional vacation day on birthday, and many others.
